Note that more than 99.9% of fretted instruments purchased off the shelf - no matter what price range - are NOT "set up" for maximum playability for your personal musical and playing style.

Despite what many may say, you DO NOT need to develop callouses on your fingertips in order to play the guitar. It's not "No pain no gain". Your guitar needs a proper setup which is much more than just a truss rod adjustment. When set up correctly, your instrument should play almost effortlessly, as if it's an extension of your body.
