5/5 - by Dean

I have had 3 guitars set up by Robin and was amazed at the fantastic job he has done on all 3. None of the basses were expensive when I sent them to him as I play on a budget. But when they came back they all played as well as, if not better than some more expensive basses I have played. The service is outstanding and he certainly doesn't keep you waiting if he can help it. He worked miracles on my basses and sent my £300 bass back to me as a £600 bass. Robin is an excellent craftsman and you can trust him with much loved instruments. Just take 5 minutes to visit his site and read the feedback left by customers. If you really value your guitar then surely 5 minutes reading is the least you can you can do for it. Robin himself is also a pleasure to deal with, a thoroughly nice bloke. Your stringed babies are safe with this Doctor.

I must agree with the review above, by Dean. I took my pre-owned Ibanez S270 to Robin after doing what I thought was a reasonable set up. It played, but it was harder work than it should have been, it was fighting against me somehow. When I collected it, the difference was astounding; it felt so responsive. Total transformation from an unruly plank, to a professional instrument, and it didn\'t break the bank. Dr.Robin and Nurse Jean are such nice people to deal with and run a caring professional business. I would recommend the service to any guitar owner.

About The Guitar Doctor

Robin (AKA The Guitar Doctor ) is an experienced musician of many years standing. Hes not saying how many, but he started playing at the age of 13 and that was a long, long time ago ! Many guitars have passed through his hands over the years, and they were all significantly improved when he passed them on ! He owns several electric guitars by Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker etc. and a Takamine acoustic-electric, so you can leave your guitar, safe in the knowledge that he knows what can be achieved.

E-Bay can be an excellent source of a bargain. The owner may have sold a guitar because it doesnt sound right - and a buyer may be disappointed in his purchase; however, a set up from Doc Rob is all it needs to fulfill a rogue guitars potential. We usually have replacement parts or spares in stock; if not, I can usually get them within a couple of days.

We know that your relationship with your guitar is a very special and personal one, and Robin is as anxious as you are to ensure that your instrument is producing the best sound possible, whether for a recording session, gigs, the school concert, talent competition or just jamming in the garage !
