The guitar work was done quickly, completely, and at a fair price. I would recommend this repair shop if you need work done.

Great repair job! OK it wasnt so much of a repair as a setup but my strat plays like the day I got her. Great prices and quick turn around. If you live in the area, trust this man with your guitar and you wont regret it! Thanks so much Tom!

I brought Tom my 1949 Harmony amp with all kinds of crackling and buzzing and popping. He tested all the tubes, transistors and capacitors and replaced anything that was not working. He thoroughly checked all the voltages, Tubes and solder connections. He also properly grounded the plug and tightened some of the loose tube sockets. Like a fine craftsman, he got the amp working correctly and it now sounds like it did new in 1949. Perfect! This is the go to guy for amp repair. he is knowledgable, reads schematics, knows how to test your amp out and makes sure you are satisfied before leaving. Highly recommended!

About Blackbird Guitars

Sometimes the repair service has EVERYTHING to do with your playing style. A musician can have many musical influences, but eventually develops his or her own style. Blackbird Guitars will setup your instrument to accommodate your playing style. For example, if you strike the strings forcefully, you need more relief set into the neck than a gentle player does. Maybe you do a lot of blues note bending. If so, your fretboard should have a compound radius. Your guitar or bass can be setup to factory specifications, or tailored to your own preferences, whenever it is technically feasible. The same goes for your vintage guitar amplifier. Tube amps can be adjusted and modified to give you increased volume, sweeter tone, and greater sustain characteristics.

"Whatever type of service your instrument needs, it will get the attention it deserves. Only the highest quality parts, materials and professional tools are used. All work is done with precision and the utmost care. As the owner of Blackbird Guitars, I make sure of this." - Tom Bleakley
