Cracks – Excuse Me Your Crack Is Showing

I hope that you will never crack your guitar. Tears would come from my eyes if my guitar were ever hurt that badly. However, it does happen and you may need a guitar repair professional to patch the guitars cracks and holes.

Guitars find many ways to gain cracks and holes:

  • You got frustrated learning that new great song and you decide to smash it off your desk. A sign you may need to relax, breathe calmly!
  • You’re texting that hot person you met at the bar and you walk into a table. Boom, guitar repair needed!
  • A late night camping incident that involves a raccoon in the tent and your foot through the guitar while running.

We don’t need to know but you may want to tell the guitar repair shops just for fun.

Thankfully, the cracks and holes can be fixed. The guitar repair shop will probably fix any minor nonstructural cracks with special glue and perhaps a small wooden patch on the under side for extra support. Depending on the severity of the holes the guitar repair person will try to rebuild the missing parts with glue and a similar wood, or say hey, you’re guitar is only worth $100 and my guitar repair will cost $300, you may want to invest in a new guitar.

My best advice is to carry your guitar like grandmas crazy porcelain figurines and you won’t need the guitar repair shop!
